Home Sweet Tea Home

Raise your hand if you enjoyed cliff notes in high school! Well...here's a throw back to those days just for you! The last few days were crazy so buckle up!

Monday we enlisted the help of our swazi friends and translators to unload the ever anticipated 648 buckets. The truck pulled up, the team lined up and the buckets didn't know what hit 'em. Afterward, the team split in two and half went to a Baptist Union Church to teach Bible study while the others went to the government hospital. The groups had very different experiences but good all the same. Monday night we had revival at Peace for the second night. We celebrated a new brother in Christ!

Tuesday morning the other half of the team ventured to the government hospital. We picked up the translators and enjoyed lunch at the mission house. We were then broken up into three groups. One went to Sibebe for childrens' Bible study, one went to Ntsinsta for soccer ministry and one went to Ntsinsta Baptist for childrens' Bible study. Everyone came back covered in dust, big smiles, and sinus infections. :) The team went back to the hotel to change, Hunter spent the afternoon with her friend Jane by Ntsinsta and Katy spent the rest of the afternoon with Kuseni and Nkhululego around town. Tuesday night was an amazing revival service. We enjoyed lots of worship and spending time with Swazis.

Wednesday everyone put on their safari hats and sunglasses for a great game park ride in Mkhaya. The day was full of rhino sightings, giraffe poo, snapping pictures and singing swazi praise songs with our guide. Thulani, our guide, was from Phuzamoya Baptist Church, so we enjoyed talking about mutual friends and singing favorite siSwati worship songs. After a day at the game park, everyone was falling asleep standing up, but we sat down to a nice dinner at Summerfield(a very nice restaurant in a tourist area of Swaziland). It was a good time to relax and reflect on the week. We were able, after dinner, to see our friend Sandile before the packing began. It was an excellent way to wrap up our time in Swaziland.

Now would be the time we tell you about the plane...but other than the nacho cheese we spoke of in the beginning of the trip, nothing really changed. We had TV's this time which was a major plus...

We are officially home and trying to adjust back to normal life again. Our sleeping schedule is crazy and we have the incredible urge to speak siSwati at all times:) The trip was life changing. It filled us with joy, compelled us to pray, encouraged us, challenged us, taught us and made us long for Heaven, when we will all worship together. The people, the country, the culture and our friends there are unmatched. We only hope to be able to begin to tell you how much we enjoyed it, how God worked and how thankful we are for you for keeping up with us and praying. Now as the Swazis would say, "hambani kahle bangani." Go well, friends.
